Hebraic Christian Center is governed by its Board of Trustees and is managed by its Board of Directors. Both of these boards feature a team of international and transdenominational scholars, spiritual leaders, and business professionals who together assume full responsibility for the educational success of its students. Hebraic Christian College Board of Directors
John D. Garr, Ph.D., Th.D., Chairman, Trustee, and President
Dr. Garr has served the Christian church as theologian, minister, presbyter, and educator for over 50 years, including the past 25 years as Founder and President of Restoration Foundation (Hebraic Christian Community), an Atlanta-based transdenominational, international, multi-ethnic networking organization focused on publishing and education. His career has been devoted to equipping Christians with insights into the historical and theological truth of Christianity’s Hebrew foundations and to promoting rapprochement between the international Christian and Jewish communities. Dr. Garr’s academic credentials include a Masters of Theology degree (summa cum laude), a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Church Administration, and a Doctor of Theology degree from Evangelical Theological Seminary.
Richard G. Rawson, B.B.A, Trustee and Treasurer
Mr. Rawson, has served on the Board of Directors of Insperity, Inc. (NSP), since 1989. He retired in May 2018 as President of Insperity after serving in that position since 2003. Before being elected President, he served as Executive Vice President of Administration, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of the Company since 1989. Mr. Rawson is the Past President of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (“NAPEO”). Mr. Rawson currently serves on the Executive Advisory Committee of the Bauer College Board of the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston, the National Board of Directors for Genesys Works, Chairman of the Board of Infinity Learning Solutions and Trinity Legacy Partners. He also serves as Chairman of the Board and CEO of POM Asset Management. Mr. Rawson has a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from the University of Houston and received a Doctor of Humane Letters (honorary) in December 2020.
Edward M. Bachman, Th.M., Trustee and Secretary
Rev. Bachman has served the Christian community for over 35 years as pastor and administrator. He has been responsible for significant developments in congregational life and in building projects both here and abroad. More recently Rev. Bachman has focused his efforts on networking and education, seeking to develop relations between Christians and Jews and among various Christian communities. He has also worked to develop programs for educating Christians about Christianity’s Jewish roots and for networking and equipping Bible colleges in several nations for these programs. Rev. Bachman’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Ministry degree from Central Bible College and a Masters of Theology degree from the Centre for the Study of Biblical Research.
Don Stanley, Ph.D., Dean of Educational Technology
Dr. Stanley has had an extensive career in both television and education. In the early 1970’s he served as a Television Producer for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). In the mid-1970’s he served as a Network Director for the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in London. In the 1980’s and 1990’s he was State Manager of ABC Television in Tasmania. Subsequently, he began a second career in education in Jewish studies, wherein he served as Director of the Stella Carmel Guest House on Mount Carmel in Northern Israel. Dr. Stanley’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jewish Studies and History from the University of Melbourne and a Doctor of Philosophy degree through the Centre for Jewish History and Culture at the University of Melbourne.
Jacques B. Doukhan, D.H.L, Th.D.
Dr. Doukhan has a long career in education, serving presently as Professor of Hebrew and of Old Testament Studies at Andrews University’s Theological Seminary. He has been a leading advocate of Jewish-Christian relations and has authored important books discussing various aspects of this subject. He has also served for many years as editor of Shabbat Shalom, a journal promoting Christian-Jewish dialogue and understanding. He has become a strong bridge of understanding for Christians who are searching for the scriptural roots of their faith. His expertise in Hebrew is widely acclaimed. Dr. Doukhan’s academic credentials include a Doctor of Hebrew Language degree from the University of Strasbourg and a Doctor of Theology degree from Andrews University.
JoAnn G. Magnuson
Mrs. Magnuson has served with distinction in the cause of Christian-Jewish relations and in advocacy for Christian support of the international Jewish community and the nation of Israel. She has a stellar history of promoting humanitarian support for the people of Israel and Christian understanding of Jews and Judaism. She has promoted local, national, and international programs for dialogue between Jewish and Christian communities, including a University of Minnesota interdisciplinary study of anti-Semitism and the Holocaust. Ms. Magnuson’s academic credentials include extensive undergraduate and graduate studies at the University of Minnesota and other colleges and seminaries, focused in Jewish studies and interfaith relations.
William C. Logan, Sr., B.S.
Mr. Logan, has served the Christian church with distinction as Elder and Administrator in a variety of settings, from Ruling Elder of First Presbyterian Church in Florence, South Carolina, to his present post as Administrator of Victory Harvest Church of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. In 1971, he founded William C. Logan & Associates, a design and construction firm. This and later management projects have resulted in his in-place construction exceeding $200 million. His commitment to the biblical and Hebraic foundations of the Christian faith has equipped him as a leader of integrity in both ministry and business. Mr. Logan’s academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Clemson University (S.C.) and professional recognition in both North and South Carolina.
